
History of the Rib and Chop House
When Burke and Melissa Moran moved from Louisiana to Montana in 2000, they knew they would do anything to stay in the Big Sky Country.
So they started the first Montana Rib and Chop House in Livingston, May 22, 2001. Their thought was to open a steakhouse with a little southern touch that would generate enough income to allow them to stay.
2002: Sheridan Wyoming location opens.
2004: Cody Wyoming opens. Also Livingston out grows their first building and moved to 305 E Park Street.
2006-2007: Billings seemed like the next great opportunity, and in 2006 they decided on a new building on the west end (in the middle of nowhere). In July 2007, the doors opened in Billings, and the decision has proven to have been successful.
2008: Miles City opening.
2009: Meadville Pennsylvania opening.
In February 2009 Rio Sabinas (Southwestern Grill) in Belgrade, Mt. was opened.
Burke and Melissa also have 3 restaurants in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
